Reception counters for hair salons—your calling card at the entrance

What makes a good hair salon reception area?

Very important: First impressions count. So make sure the reception area in your hair salon looks both tidy and inviting. Your customers should walk into your salon, look around, and know they’ve come to the right place.

However, the reception counter at a hair salon is not merely for show; it must also be functional. This is where administrative items such as the cash register, telephone, or stationery are kept. This makes it all the more important that the reception counter offers enough counter space and storage to accommodate a lot in a small area.

Tastes and styles vary even among hairdressers. That’s why we offer hairdressing counters in various designs. This allows you to harmoniously integrate the functional entrance into the overall look of your hair salon and add your own personal touch.

What design should you choose for your new hair salon reception area?

The best design for your reception area depends entirely on what kind of hair salon you are.

Are you one of those classic salons that stand out with timeless furnishings? Then classic hair salon counters in white, high-gloss, or matte, as well as black counters, are a good choice. If you’d rather use your furnishings to express a certain character or appeal to a specific target audience, then opt for eye-catching designs. A counter with a marble-look front or a printed front catches the eye. Counters with a wood-look finish or wood accents are particularly suitable for salons with a rustic or natural style.

A quick tip: If your hair salon is relatively small, white furniture is the perfect choice. It can make your space appear larger. Bright rooms are also friendly and calming. In our selection, you’ll also find small reception desks in white for your salon.

What are the benefits of an illuminated hair salon reception desk?

Lighting sets the mood. This is also true in your hair salon. While ceiling lights are better suited for adequate task lighting, other light sources create the atmosphere. Indirect lighting, such as an illuminated counter or wall sconces, creates a smooth, inviting ambiance.

Another advantage of lighting is that it allows you to draw attention to specific areas. So, if you have placed additional products such as cosmetics or hair care items in the salon, you can highlight them with appropriate lighting. By setting up the display area in the entrance, you gain two main advantages:

• The illuminated reception area at the salon is then no longer just an eye-catcher, but showcases your broader product range
• At a hair salon, the reception area is not only the first but also the last place your customer visits. If you place your products here, there is a greater likelihood that your customers will be encouraged to browse and pick up a few items.
