Hours
Your team is there, every day
When purchasing a shampoo station, almost everyone thinks of the client. That’s understandable. But your team works at the basin, day after day, wash after wash. Whether the basin’s shape is easy on the back or causes the shoulders to hunch forward isn’t something you’ll notice in the brochure—you’ll only realize it after weeks of use in the salon.
Every centimeter behind the head counts.
If the basin empties toward the back, the stylist stands farther away from the client’s head. She must lean forward, causing her shoulders to shift forward. With the G1 model, the back is curved inward. She stands close to the head and works in an upright position.
“The basin doesn’t match the Backrest.” We hear this phrase often, usually in reference to inexpensive, no-name shampoo stations. The neck rests on an edge, the head hangs down, and the client has to brace against it. At Karisma Beauty, the basin and Backrest are designed to work together. That’s exactly what sets a brand-name shampoo station apart from Wash station that merely looks the Wash station.
Basin G1
The basin designed with your team in mind. With a recessed design instead of an overhang: the shortest path to the client’s head.

Work with integrity. Every day.
The back of the G1 does not open backward; it is curved inward. This allows your employee to stand closer to the client’s head and wash, massage, and rinse while keeping her back straight.
For the client, nothing changes for the worse: she lies comfortably, and her neck is supported properly. Your team comes out on top.

Sink width you can see and feel
Customers specifically ask for the large basin. The P1 is our widest basin, with an interior length of 46.4 cm. Long hair lies flat instead of piling up at the edge. Balayage, glossing, and conditioning treatments can be performed directly in the basin.
More sinks. More possibilities.
Long hair, color techniques in the basin, head spa moments: Hair washing has become a treatment. That requires space.
- For long hair: The hair should rest in the basin, not on the rim. Rinsing thoroughly is faster this way.
- There is enough space for color and conditioning treatments that take place in the basin. Fewer splashes on the chair and the floor.
- For a great first impression: A spacious basin conveys a sense of high quality. The customer notices the difference even before the water starts running.
Our tip: Try out XXL in the showroom—both as a client and as a hairstylist. That way, you’ll know if it’s a good fit for your team.
Basin N1
The classic. Sleekly designed, deep-drawn, made for everyday salon use.

Clear. Concise. Reliable.
The N1 is longer than it is wide and tapers toward the Neck rest. This makes it a good fit even for salons where every centimeter counts.

29 cm. The shallowest in the series.
The H1 is 29 cm deep in the center. The water remains in the basin, even during vigorous rinsing and with a full head of hair. The narrow Neck rest keeps the head centered.

5 Questions to Ask Before Buying a Sink
- How close is my team to the client’s head? If the basin drains toward the back, every wash becomes a preventive measure.
- Does the basin fit the Backrest? The neck must rest comfortably against it, with no edges and no gaps.
- How many clients do I have with long hair? The longer the hair, the more XXL makes sense.
- “Do I apply color or treatment in the basin?” If so, you’ll need a flat surface to prevent spills.
- Have I tried it myself? Testing it out is good. Standing behind it is better.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which hair salon Wash basin do you recommend?
Most often the G1. Its back is curved inward rather than projecting backward. This allows your team to stand closer to the client’s head and work with a straight back. If you have many clients with long hair, you should also take a look at the XXL basin, the P1.
Why is the basin shape important for my team?
The client lies in the basin for a few minutes, while your team stands behind it for hours every day. If the basin drains toward the back, the stylist has to lean forward, causing her shoulders to shift forward. A basin with a recessed area keeps the path to the head short.
What are the benefits of an XXL sink?
More space for long hair and for treatments that take place in the basin. The hair lies flat instead of piling up at the edge, and there is less splashing.
Why doesn’t the basin fit the Backrest on some washing stations?
With many low-cost washing stations, the basin and chair are not designed together. As a result, the neck rests on an edge or the head hangs down. At Karisma Beauty, the basin and Backrest are designed to work in harmony.
Where can I try out the sinks?
In our 250 m² showroom in Grafenrheinfeld near Schweinfurt, right off the A71. Please give us a quick call beforehand, and we’ll let you know which washing stations are currently set up.

Ergonomics at Backwash basin
A good Backwash basin is designed for both the client and the stylist. Key factors include the distance between the stylist and the client’s head, the fit against Backrest Backrest, and sufficient space for long hair. You’ll find suitable wash stations in our Karisma collection, among the Backwash basin and the wash chairs with massage features.
